I'm Tanessa Shears, and until a couple years ago, I WAS EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE. 

I've worked for over 10 years in the health and fitness industry and kept thinking that life would get easier and slow down as soon as I got past the next "big moment/event/project" etc...  

I actually found out that life never slows down...if anything, it gets busier! I found I was quickly losing my motivation to prioritize my health & most importantly, myself. I found myself turning to food to numb the anxiety, overwhelm and stress I was feeling because I never had the time to focus on myself.

It’s totally different than the things I learned in the books I read, the blogs I followed, the influencers I studied and the videos I watched.  

Everything I was looking at was telling me WHAT to eat, how MUCH to eat, WHEN to eat, HOW to time my meals and WHY I should follow their way of thinking. While all of these are important to know in order to get healthy, what I learned was that these are all strategies to deal with the symptoms of why I wasn’t thrilled with my life. We are always taught to manage the symptoms of weight gain, lack of energy, stress, fatigue and frustration.  

What we aren’t taught is to manage the reason WHY we aren't taking action - the root cause of all of our inaction - and that is our thoughts.  

Willpower, the perfect diet and exercising 5x/week doesn’t work on it's own because the concious and subconcious thoughts we have about ourselves are in direct opposition to our goals.
